Many of us use the Internet for every little thin in our life, from finding the closest store to buy some milk to looking up a word on dictionary sites, because we’re too lazy getting our behinds up from the comfortable recliner we’re in and make to steps to the thick dictionary in our bookstand. We even diagnose ourselves based on the symptoms we have, but the majority of us do not stop there and go to the doctor and let the expert tell us what’s exactly wrong with us.
Why is that? It’s probably because with the most important things in life, we prefer not to fool around and just directly to the experts in the field. It saves us time, money, our sanity and maybe even our life.
So how do you get people to trust your advice right away and seek it without you even offering it? How do you get people to come to you, to your online business and be ready to buy on the spot?
You need to establish yourself as a leader in your area of expertise, which is Internet Marketing. This is the most powerful technique for Effective Personal Branding.
How do you do that? It’s not as hard as you might think, especially when you’re all invested in your Internet Marketing Business.
To become an expert:
1. Read as much as you can on the subject. There are lots of free ebooks offered online by other experts trying to sell you their product/services. Go to public libraries.
2. Keep up with the news. Striking up a conversation about the present events is easy and will make you look like a well informed person, which is at the ‘expert’ level that you want to achieve.
3. Write your own ebook. Or hire ghostwriters on freelance markets like elance.com, guru.com, mediabistro.com etc.
4. Create unique content on your website. It’s your business card. Make it count!
5. Listen to everyone else: forums, advice sites, like yahoo answers, groups, blogs.
6. Speak their language! Listen to how your potential customers think, how they relate to one another, they slang they use.
7. Be creative, entrepreneurial!
8. Offer your advice.
9. Always develop new skills or enhance the ones you have
10. Speak up! People can’t wait to listen to your expertise.
